Trolls
Whenever he heard the word
He thought of Harry Potter
Not purveyors of nastiness
And, electronic abuse.
Had Hermione been to hand
She might have explained
The meaning came from fishing
Not Scandinavian myth.
But, regardless
At least he never fed the scum.

On the hospital ward
In lieu of hope
Consider poor life choices
Man of a certain age
Most at risk
Virus greater threat if overweight
Diabetic or otherwise in poor health
Regret a diet high in fat, sugar
General lack of exercise
Yet, probability isn’t certainty
Possibility of recovery
Escaping ward to home in lockdown
With a chance, at least
To one day step outside
Walk beneath the open sky
